Laptop Battle Tokyoはもうすぐですよ！急遽、特別なゲストDJとVJ決まりました。

JaQwaはイベントのスタートや終わり、バトルの間にDJします。彼は前回のイベントでとても強力な参加者でした。２ラウンドでDJ　Takeとタフなバトルを繰り広げ会場を盛り上げました。（Vol.5のビデオでクリップを見てみて下さい）。5Geneというアーティスト集団を結成。大阪を飛び出し、都内でも活動の場を広げている。

M7Kenjiは８bitの映像を使い皆様を魅了します。昨年のBlip Festival Tokyoにて彼のVJ workが認められ、先日NYで開かれたBlip Festivalに招待されました。Super Deluxe’sの大画面でぜひ見てみて下さい。

The next battle is just a few days away now! At the last minute we have confirmed two very special guests who will be our DJ and VJ.

JaQwa will be dropping some awesome tunes at the start and end of the event and between rounds. JaQwa was a strong contestant in the last event, but was knocked out by DJ Take in a very close battle in the second round (you can see a clip in the Vol.5 video). He founded the Osaka based Breakcore collective 5Gene and is now performing live and DJing in Tokyo.

M7Kenji will be mesmerizing us all with his 8bit visuals. Kenji took past in the first ever Blip Festival Tokyo last year, providing visuals perfectly matched to the lo bit music artists performances, and has just returned from Blip Festival in New York. Seeing his work on Super Deluxe’s mega three wall projection is gonna be immense!

ラップトップ・バトルはラップトップ・ミュージシャン達による新種の真剣勝負。高速連打と絶妙なブレイクを操り、最終的に勝ち残った人…それは次世代のミュージシャン。どんなスタイルの音楽でもOK。

叙情的なメロディーとglitchビートを融合したサウンドでHip hop, glitch, dubstepなど多くのシーンをまたぐKeisuke Itoによるソロユニット。Machinedrum(Lucky me, Merck,Normrex)やrichard devine(WARP), Coma(ROMZ)など注目アーティストが多数参加したアルバム『raid system』をリリース。同時にリリースされたEPは、シスコテクノチャート1位、iTunesでは収録曲 rebuild がelectronic chart6位を記録し、エレクトロニカ・ブレイクビーツ・ヒップホップシーンへの新たな提案に成功。切なく耳触りのいいメロディーを巧みに取り込み、幅広いリスナー層から支持を集めている。

Broken haze (Keisuke Ito) is japanese “electronica, hip hop, glitch hop, wonky, dubstep” producer/artist. His fururistic music is composed with glitchy digital noise, chopped melody, lazer synth, and cinematic ambience.

XLII
ウクライナ生まれ、UK育ち。 11歳よりMCの経験を積み、オリジナル・トラックの制作を始めたのは実に13歳という若さ。 2004年からは拠点を日本に移して活動中。ヒップホップを基本としながら異ジャンルとの融合も難なくこなすトラック･メイカー、MC、DJ、サウンドエンジニアとして幅広い才能を見せつけている。

Born in Ukraine, raised in the UK and now living in Japan, XLII is a multifaceted MC, producer, sound engineer and DJ whose music is as diverse and rich as his background. Over the years it’s been labeled hip hop, electronica, abstract, dubstep and drum n bass. In reality, it’s all these things and more, or as they say ‘the total is always more than the sum of its parts’.

Nihon Kizuna – Japan disaster relief

世界各国のアーティストが、今回の日本に訪れた悲惨な自然災害をサポートするために楽曲を無償で提供、日本:絆と称された募金を目的としたコンピレーションが完成しました。

4月8日に日本:絆ボナスコンピレーションもが完成しました。

日本:絆は50曲で£10「¥1000ぐらいです!」日本:絆ボナスコンピレーションは34曲で無料です！

A group of musicians have responded to the recent earthquake disaster in Japan by creating a compilation with all proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross. Artists Broken Haze, Laurent Fintoni, XLII, Audace appealed to international artists to donate music for the Nihon Kizuna compilation which has already raised over $20K.

Nihon Kizuna – 50 tracks, £10 Nihon Kizuna Bonus – 34 tracks, free or pay what you want.

UPDATE: A Nihon Kizuna free bonus compilation was released on 8th April, get it while its hot.

Vol.5 Event Video

一年前のLBT-VOL.5のビデオを作りました。イベントは本当にすごかった。参加者皆どうもありがとうございました。10分に作るは厳しいので皆の演奏は短いごめなさい！ビデオを取った@Lazerbeatさんありがとう。また今年イベントをやった方がいいね。

One year later, I finally got around to editing the LBT Vol.5 video. It was a brilliant event, as you can see a very high standard of battlers. Thanks to all involved and shouts to @Lazerbeat for shooting the video. Sorry everyone’s clip is so short, had to get it down to 10 mins. Got to get another event in sometime this year.
